Do you think it's possible to be too dependent on God?

What a great question!
I think there's a difference between being dependent and being irresponsible. Some people say that they are "dependent" on God, when in fact they refuse to take personal responsibility for what they need to do (or stop doing). When we sit and wait for God, we've probably missed something. God doesn't tend to stay still, he is always on the move, so when we act as though we've arrived somewhere before God and are simply waiting for him to show up, we're very mistaken.
On the other hand, I'd rather be depending on God, even if I'm confused about what that means, than tell him that I can do anything without him.

so what about asking his opinion on everything? i.e. praying about what you should do with classes, friends, priorities, stress, daily situations, etc.?
Is that being too dependent?

I think that God wants us to know what he wants more than he wants us to go to him for every answer. I don't think it's bad to ask him about big and little things regularly (I sure as heck do), but the more we do that, the more I think we learn what God's will is, and the better idea we have next time it comes up.
A lot of times, I don't think it matters which way we go in our decisions. I know that I often ask God things like "Should I go to this meeting or that one" or "Which book should I read" and often the response is, "Luke, seriously, I'm God. I'm gonna get my way done no matter what you pick. Just trust that I can work through anything, ok?"
So I don't think that asking God about daily stuff is unhealthy dependency, I actually think it's a great way to get to know God's character, and grow our ability to anticipate his wishes or discern his will the next time around.
