summer refugee experience

Postby ivoryjess on Sun Feb 17, 2008 8:02 pm

Has anyone thought about doing the summer refugee experience? I know it's a little late to be asking that, but oh well. I went last year and enjoyed it, and I'd like to go again this year if it works out. But last time I was the only high school student, so I was wondering if anyone else had thought at all about going.

Yeah that might be a good idea. Me I am more into the going to a different country. But I think I can make do with Minneapolis or something

I know, I love going to different countries too. But this is a little cheaper and there's still a ton of stuff where you feel like you're in a different country. I heard a while ago that they were having trouble finding people to go because it's during the week, but I'm not sure. Anyway, I realized belatedly that I had forgotten to ask people (again) about it, so I thought I'd post it on here. Even if people can't go this year, it might remind them next year if they're interested.

So when exactly would this be? Is there a sign up deadline for it that already passed? I'm so out of the loop, it's insane... :?

I guess I'm not positive if you can still sign up- Luke might be better to ask on that one. Or ask Sarah Miller or Mark Collier- I think they'd know.

For what's it worth, we're putting together the Senior High mission trip right now, which is going to be a local one, where we do things in Minneapolis & St. Paul, the plan is to start promoting it right after Easter.
