Praying

When do you pray/do devotions/read the Bible? And why then?
I'm curious because I've tried a few different times and I either seem to run out of time or it's way too easy to forget about it or skip it because I'm "busy." Maybe I just need to put a higher priority on it. I don't know. It's more like, I have a time, but I always feel rushed and don't seem to get to everything (or I fall asleep mid-sentence!). This especially bothers me with prayer requests. I do talk to God all day, but I feel like I should have a time when I sit down and say,"God, I pray for so-and-so and such-and-such." So what do you think/do?

This is what we talked about on the girls BWCA trip! (Woot! :D )

You've pretty much got it with talking to God all day, but I think a specific time for devos or reading the bible varies depending on the person. I do it every night before I go to bed and I think Jeff said he does it for an hour every morning, so... yes... different...

I wouldn't sweat it if you run out of time because God knows what you're thinking all the time, so if you don't get around to praying for something or forget something and remember it later, he'll still know that you want to pray for it. I'm not saying you should never pray and just be like "Oh, yeah. I'm thinking about it, that's my praying for the day," but just do it when you can and when you remember and you'll be good. :)
